Restaurant Health and Safety Procedures at Cavan
“Our priority in reopening each of our LeBLANC+SMITH venues is to thoroughly implement health and safety features throughout our venues and processes so our team and guests need not be concerned. This allows us to continue to create excellent 21st Century Southern Hospitality experiences to bring communities together safely to live joyful, fulfilling and balanced lives.”
-Robért LeBlanc, Founder & Creative Director
The following restaurant health and safety procedures are designed to protect guests who visit Cavan at this time.
Face Masks
We kindly ask that all guests wear masks to enter the venue. If you do not bring a mask, we can offer you a disposable mask upon entrance. We also have custom designed bandana masks for $6. If you are interested, please ask a team member. Remember, you can remove your mask when seated, but put it back on when you leave the table.
Seating Arrangements
Our tables are arranged at least 6 feet apart. To reduce person-to-person contact, our host at the front will take your initial order before you grab a seat. Menus can be found on menu boards, through QR codes, or online. Single-use menus are available upon request.
Food and Drink Services
When your food or drink is ready, the chef or bartender who prepared your item will bring it directly to you so that only one person handles your meal and beverage. Our leadership team will be present on the floor to answer questions and to take orders for second, third, or fourth rounds.
Sanitizing Precautions
Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout our venue. Our common areas and restrooms are disinfected frequently throughout the day. Tables and chairs are sanitized between guests.
Payment Guidelines
We are a completely cashless company. Guests can pay with their credit cards and smartphones.
Outdoor Seating
At Cavan, our guests can enjoy a relaxing outdoor dining experience. We have added more shade and breezy fans to each table for cool comfort even on warm days and nights.
The Cavan Team
Team members are required to take a COVID-19 test once every two weeks and provide verification of the negative test. Employees will undergo daily temperature checks upon arrival at the venue with those temps being logged. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be sent home. All team members have medical insurance and paid sick leave, so they will be covered even if they show symptoms and cannot work.
In the event that a team member tests positive, the CDC will be alerted and the restaurant will close for 72 hours to allow for a deep sanitization and testing of all adjacent team members. Any COVID-positive team member must self-quarantine for at least 10 days and provide documentation of two consecutive negative COVID-19 tests from a health care provider prior to returning.
With meticulous health and safety procedures in place, we look forward to once again serving our valued guests. Call (504) 265-8123 to learn more about Cavan or stop by today to dine, drink, and enjoy. You can also treat a friend to a gift card or arrange for us to cater your private event.
